Jodhpur is known as the Blue City and the Sun City, serving as the second-largest city in Rajasthan. Houses around the old city near Mehrangarh Fort are painted blue. It originally marked the homes of Brahmins and was tied to Lord Shiva, though non-Brahmins later adopted the color because copper sulfate and limestone whitewash help reflect heat and deter insects. It was previously known as Marwar. Places to Visit •Mehrangarh Fort (perched 400 feet above the city) • Umaid Bhawan Palace • Jaswant Thada • Ghanta Ghar (Clock Tower) and Sardar Market

Bikaner is a historic desert city in northwestern Rajasthan, India, known as "Camel Country" and famous for its red-sandstone architecture, forts, and snacks. The culture reflects rich Rajasthani traditions, folk music, Usta art (camel-hide and gold embossing), and intricate red-stone havelis. top places to visit in Bikaner?• Junagarh Fort: A massive 16th-century fort complex that was never conquered in war. • Rampuria Havelis: Historic, ornate red-sandstone mansions featuring a blend of Indian and European architecture. • Karni Mata Temple (Deshnok): A 500-year-old temple famous for thousands of free-roaming, revered rats. • Laxmi Niwas Palace & Lalgarh Palace: Regal heritage structures and former royal residences. • National Research Centre on Camel: Asia’s largest camel-breeding and research facility
