Uttarakhand, known as the “Land of the Gods,” is a picturesque state in northern India nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas. The Jim Corbett National Park is a part of the largest Corbett Tiger Reserve; the Project Tiger lies in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand. Established in the year 1936 as Hailey National Park, Corbett has the glory of being India’s oldest and most prestigious National Park. It is also being honoured as the place where Project Tiger was first launched in the year 1973.
Nainital is one of the famous hill stations of India situated in the state of Uttarakhand and base camp of Nainital region in the Kumaon foothills of the outside Himalayas at an elevation of 2,084 meters (6,837 ft) above sea level and it is set in a valley containing a mango-shape lake.
